Verizon tops RootMetrics’ best wireless carrier list posted by Charles Smith February 16, 2015 Technology & Research
Verizon has clinched the top spot for being the best wireless carrier in the United States, according to RootMetrics report.
According to the report, the company showed an outstanding performance in the second half of this year in comparison to the other three leading rivals.
The wireless carrier has also gained the top position during the first half of 2014 and performed even better in the second half amid good investments.
Verizon managed to score 93.9 points on a scale of 100. It was followed by AT&T with 91.7 points.
On the other hand, both Sprint and T-Mobile performed well strengthened despite struggling times. Wireless networks analyst Kagan hailed Sprint on its solid recovery on the RootMetrics report. According to the analysts, the customers have noticed Sprint’s improvements and have contributed in ranking it ahead of T-Mobile.
Sprint held the third slot after scoring between 70 and 90, while T-Mobile scored of 85.4.
The report showed all the four carrier majors improving remarkably as compared to the first half of 2014.
The regulatory body Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will be holding a major airwaves auction, where all the four wireless bigwigs are likely to spend extensively to fuel their market growth. But the proposed Net Neutrality rules are expected to hinder the possible investments.
A large-scale survey is conducted every year by RootMetrics where it ranks the cellular networks on the basis of mainly three factors, namely call, reliability and speed performance.
